Tired of all the Same

Bass season is open, and i am hoping to pick up many more bass this season. I fish around the Ottawa River (Champlain) and a small lake near Perth, ON. I have been searching for some new patterns, as Wooly Buggers, Clouser Minnows, Zonkers, Deceivers and Half and Halfs work well, but have become poi...

browns

Greendrake in Ottawa is stocking their brown trouts at champlain in the Ottawa on Monday June 24th. You can buy a fish to stock yourself, or watch the fish being stocked. It is 25 big ones if you want to watch though. I can't make it but if you're interested it's a good cause for the Ottawa!

My friend got a small one around dusk. They rise just about every night around 9.15-9.30 like MAD, i have no idea what they're rising too but if anyone figured it out they would bag about 100 in an hour. I thought it might be some midges cuz i couldn't see anything on the water so i figured it was t...

They are long past the spawn as Timbanger said. I've been catching some pesky ones that force me out of my best spots, because they're not in season. It's frustrating because this is evidence that they no longer need protection, and that the season should open earlier.

this is based in Kanata, but it's order only

Orvis Green Drake on Richmond Road in Ottawa is probably better though. They have good staff there, and a decent selection of materiels.

I have experienced and heard of several accounts of trout and adult dragonflies. They really attacked my RL Dragon patterns, and am sure they were targeting the masses of dragons on the pond. This is not at all frequent but it does happen so be prepared i should think.

Sink

[color=darkred]I recently got a brand new scientific anglers full sink line for my birthday, and have some questions on how to fish it. I have always wanted to have a full sink, because i fish mostly deep lakes for bass and pike, but can't really get down to them. Now I can, and want to know how to ...

I would reccomend that you make sure you want to be fly fishing for a while before you splurge on a new outfit. Temple Fork Outfitters make amazing rods for under 200 dollars, and Redington reels are also amazing for under 150. Don't go for anything too fancy, unless you plan on doing your fishing o...
