Anything leaking/leaching into a waterbody that is not supposed to be there is bad.

How about all that Freon-22 that got into the Ottawa River.

BTW, 7,000 L/day leak would be COOLING water (river water).

Radioactivity in waste water sludge....what isotopes? Could be from a hospital using isotopes for medicinal purposes. Could be from industry in Ottawa. Who knows what kind of things people have in their houses and flush? Maybe educate yourself first before jumping to conclusions. The media sensation...

CBC Radio 1's show "Sounds like Canada" ran this story today.

They call it "Nipper Tipping" and the Chinese community calls it a hate crime.

I did not hear any mention of why people are doing this, wether it is a hate crime or vigilantism.

I would say no, because

You can buy frozen walleye fillets in the store now from nothern ontario.

If you were to take them out of the original package, and they have no skin on them to identify, could you potenially be fined?

For about $20 you can buy this map: Ottawa River, Chats Falls to Chenaux, No. 1551 published by the Canadian Hydrographic Service, Department of Fisheries and Oceans. Also, be wary when in 10 to 13 ft of water, I find usually that's the depth range the logs/deadheads are usually sitting in. Sometime...

Wow, Swamp-Donkey, that's a wide brush you paint with. Plastics...when they first came out they dissolved tackle box trays/ other plastic items. That must have been good for the environment as they lay on the bottom of the water body. Also all the pthalates/oils used to keep them supple and soft, sl...

Lots of good stuff on there. Read more than one article.

Read both sides of the story.

I knew there was good reason to put on that lucky psychedelic fish t-shirt. Hit the Ottawa with fellow Muskies Canada members Chuck Albert and Kert Lavigne (Muskiestalker) Sunday morning. We were out about an hour, when I casted my Maas Maurader along a weed edge, and it was a looong cast. A couple ...

"and no I have never fished that area, so I'm looking forward to any tips you or others may have"

When entering Hennesey Bay(where Nangor is), from up river, stay out near the GREEN BUOY and then swing into the mouth of the bay.

Lots of weeds in that bay.

Bring lots of bug spray.
