Name of the lake will be revealed sat. eve so there is no prefishing and everyone has the same advantages/disadvantages. It isn't a big money t...

The Ottawa river in Petawawa is around normal for this time of year. A little bit lower than may long weekend. You will be in for a treat with the eyes, they are on fire right now. They are hitting hard and on everything you throw at them. Hopefully they will still be on when you get here. If you ar...

A birds nest is caused when the spool spins faster than the line can leave the reel, or the spool keeps spinng after your lure hits the water and it spins onto itself. Usually leaving a tangled mess in your reel. After you learn how to deal with the birds nest they are easy to get out. The easiest w...

I'd like some of what the quebec ministry is smoking. what can they possibly believe stopping live bait on the quebec side of the Ottawa river will do? Do they think that there is some kind of force that will prevent our ontario baitfish from crossing this invisible line. And who is going to be the ...

I live on the river and you are allowed live bait ANYWHERE on the river. Now if you decide to go up any tributaries that is another story. You would need a quebec liscence and no live bait. If you have any other questions regarding the area let me know. I haven't done alot of walleye fishing up ther...

I live in petawawa and have fished cobden many times but only for bass. That is why I never replied to your thread. For Pike fishing I would suggest fishing the shallows with spinnerbaits, jerkbaits and topwaters.
