Mercury Ignition Switch

My ignition switch for my merc is starting to go wonky. The starter position only works if it's wiggled really hard and in a difficult way. Got caught out in the storm yesterday friggin around with it. Is this something I can clean or should I just buy a new switch? It's 12 years old and gets used a...

I agree with Steve, re-do the battery connections so they are tight and clean. Finger tight does exactly what you are describing.

Sounds like the signal from the transducer may be interrupted at times and the demo mode kicks in for a second. Clean the face of the transducer with mild soap and water as well as checking the transducer connection at the fish finder to make sure it is clean. Make sure the wire isn't broken (vermin...

I love happy endings. That's great.

I carry mask, snorkel and flippers with me in the boat. Get a lot of lures back and it's nice to check out bass spots. :D

Some nice fish!
I think I know that lake, does it start with the letter C? If so, the stump field is a bass factory.

Yannick,
They liked a very fast top water retrieve. Slow only drew pike and gar.

On the Ottawa.
Five biggest largies totalled 13.7lbs.
Biggest was 5.0lbs even.
The clouds and light winds made for a perfect top water day.

Should the bass season open earlier?

Should the MNR consider opening bass season earlier in eastern Ontario and the Ottawa river? The bass have been off the nests for about three weeks here on the Ottawa river and I'm aching to get at'em. Two weeks ago today I caught a very big bass from 30 feet down in 65 feet of water while fishing f...

I concur with the other lads, you have fantastic fishing right at your door. Lots of smaller walleye with the odd monster now and then. Explore right from the marina out to the main part of the river. Tons of spots. Get a copy of the navigation chart too because there are lots of shoals to hit. The ...

Rubber would be best but the carpet ones work too if you turn them upside down.

Gotta work Friday and Saturday but will be Piking on the Bay Sunday. I might sneak out of work early tomorrow if the weather is okay just to get out on opening day for a bit.
The water is a lot warmer than usual this year for the pike opener so the biggun's might have gone deep already.
