Question: Gas Line Leak

Well I am not off to a good start to my fishing season. I put my 14 foot aluminum boat in the water today to make sure it would be ready for some serious fishin starting tomorrow. Pump up the ball on the gas tank line to my 9.9 Johnson and damn; :x gas dripping out around the connection to the motor...

Great post McQ 8) 8) This type of post starts a dialogue that is the epitome of what makes Fish-Hawk such a great site. However, I think after this post there will be alot of people thinking about purchasing some purple tackle. On that note, I better run out and grab some purple lures while ...

Fishing Licence

Can anyone point me in the right direction for a quick/easy way of getting a Quebec Fishing License. I am going with some friends to fish at Wapoos Sibi for a few days in July. The outfitter doesn't have them and I hate to wait until the day we are driving there and run into problems finding someone...

Hey FS - Bullheads or catfish are without question the easiest fish there is to clean. When cleaning a bucket of bullheads :( it is nice to have a quick easy way to clean them. I use a method similar to the third link in Joco's reply (http://www.munising.com/upfishing/cleaning_catfish.html). The dif...

I live on the Rideau River near Kemptville and regularly see all kinds of very large carp in the area between Kars and Kemptville. As someone said earlier in this thread, we tend to over estimate their size when we see them but I can say that I have lived (and fished extensively) in the Thousand Isl...

I would be awfully careful about loading a boat, even a small 12 footer, on top of your camper. I would at least check with a dealer to see if they have any suggestions on how best to do it. I had a Coleman pop-up for many years but never felt confident enough to put my small aluminum boat on top of...

I have fished the lake a few times over a span of 35 years but have not fished it recently. I know that it has good walleye fishing and it is where I caught my first laketrout, (on a worm harness near the surface in the middle of the day in the middle of summer believe it or not  ). If you enjo...

:) If you check with the MNR they will provide you a list of where they have been stocking trout. This is a good guide for finding productive locations as the list will tell you how many have been stocked by year. I think that for the area you are interested in it would be the MNR office at Kemptvil...

:D Hey Tip Up where is Princess Auto located :?: I was looking at some propane heaters in the Smith Falls Canadian Tire last night and I think they were $124 also but seemed like you needed to keep the door of the shed open to be safe when using it. I think these were 9,000 to 18,000 BTU depending o...
