Last summer my son caught what we thought was a small muskie. :? But now I think it was maybe a pike or a hybrid muskie. Before filling with oil, fill with water and put the bird in to see where the oil level is going to be and mark it. This should help in avoiding any boil over.

You're best off to keep driving through Deseronto another 15 - 20 minutes to Picton and launch there. That'll put you right in the thick of the hot double digit 'eye action. The big girls probably haven't made their way in from Lake Ontario to as far as Deseronto yet. Deseronto is a really hot spot ...
