Hey fishforfun sometimes the rings come loose, some guys tape them to keep them tight. I use shrink tube much more trick LOL never come loose that way and doesnt go sticky like tape does after awhile if it gets wet. I would have had a reel seat put on the rod when i had it tied for me, its a 13' St....
