bass tournaments

Interesting discussion folks. It seems a lot of it is reactionary. We discussed the issue with Gord Pyzer (Masters in Natural Resource Management, Biologist, Field Editor Outdoor Canada and In-Fisherman) on the Renegade Bass fishing show on Team 1200. You can hear his response coming up this Saturda...

Tracker boats

I've been checking out this string with interest as I own the same boat you're talking about. It's going into it's seventh year and I've yet to have problem with it. As for big water and power loading, it works like a dream. The reason I bought it was the welded hull. But like anything that's manufa...

newboro

The last time I was there 2 years ago, it was $5 to launch near the locks at Newboro. Pretty reasonable considering the cost at Rockland.

kemptville creek launch

Hey Guys

The Rideau River (and it's tribs) are extremely low. Water's dropped about 3 feet in front of our dock up near Kars. I wouldn't take a chance putting a canoe in the Creek right now.

fav tv show

I had W.F.N early on and two shows that I thought were really informative and different were Classic Patterns and BassTech. Unfortunately, W.F.N lost the rights and they're not available. Perhaps WILD TV will pick them up. As for what's available now, I love the FLW Tour!

Hey Almonte Fisher

This Redhorse Lake you speak of. Is this one near Lyndhurst? If so, I haven't fished it yet, but have heard it does have good bass.

Good luck

which fishhawker to fish with

I've had the pleasure of fishing with Big Jim. ( don't know how much of a pleasure it was for him though) I would definitely like to hit the water with Kunopaski. He makes me laugh every time.

Hey Guys That Russian guy was sentenced to a work camp in northern Russia. It was for at least five years if I recall correctly. ( not that it was enough in my opinion) Ironic he was coming back from an ice fishing/drinking trip when that happened. On to positive things though, I got out with three ...

Hey Folks

Looking to do some shoreline fishing in the east end. Anyone ever give Green's Creek a try in the Conservation area? Any ideas are appreciated.

baitcasters

Hey Joey I also retrieve with my left when using spinning gear, so when I went to the baitcaster I stayed with the left retrieve. I personally find it more comfortable than learning to use my right. When you're purchasing reels though, there are way more right retrieve than left so your choice may b...

mud lake

Hey Guys

I happened to be down in Brittania Village earlier today near the water treatment plant and stumbled across Mud Lake. Any fish in it? Anyone fished it before? Seems like it might be worth a try.

Thanks

Hey Folks!

It appears the cottage is the place to be this weekend. I'll be on Whitefish Lake and heading over to Dog for some pike and a scouting trip.
Hoping to tie into some big ones.

I have to back up what he says. I was out on Whitefish two weeks ago, planning on going under Brass Point bridge to get to Dog, but there was no way my boat would get under. The water should drop as the locks open, but hopefully, not as much as it didn last year. By the way, how did your crappie fis...
