new gen sonars

anyone purchase a new 7 -9 inch sonar /gps... last yr? ie gen 4
if its a hummingbird does it double echo ? what gen of bird?
anything you dislike?
any stand out features?
any issues?
i presently have a garmin, buddy is looking for a sonar . thanks for any info,
i had a few gen 2 birds that double echoed making the charting kind of useless and made the sonar a dangerous tool, was wondering if the gen 4 have the same problem
