Sunday St. Lawrence report

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Sunday St. Lawrence report

Post by Cancatchbass »

Fished from 10 til 2 today.

It was one of those frustrating days. :x

I saw dozens and dozens (maybe 60-80?) of schooling largemouth, but few would have anything to do with me. Some were real monsters.

This is the best of the dozen I did manage to catch after going through the schools at least ten times:

I can't wait until these fish get active!

Healthy looking fish CCB! I've put my Bass stuff aside for the Muskie baits but looking at the pic gives me the itch to bring the Bass baits out again!!!

Do you think the bass will be in the same pattern next weekend on Quinte? I really want to catch some bass while I'm there. Have the weeds started to die off yet? I was fishing on Lake Clear 2 weeks ago and the weeds were already starting to die. You could see tiny bubbles coming to the surface over large weedbeds. :?

Another beaut, CCB. As your hat says: you're really "Kickin' Bass"! :D

Today, on our way back from Wolfe Lake, we got stuck in a huge traffic delay at the St. Lawrence crossing / Customs. As we finally crossed the bridge, I said to my husband, "I'll bet CCB is down there fishing right now!"

W.
Thanks, Dad, for taking me fishing when I was a kid.

Nice Bass

Post by FireFox »

CCB,

This isnt anything that hasnt been said by other posters, but Im going to say it regardless. I always look forward to reading your posts and even dig through the Derby threads since you always have these great shots of nice bass and sometimes even let us see the lure the fish grabbed. Thanks for taking the time to share these pics and stories with the board.

Throw some live bait--(nice lively minnows) in front of those fish that don't wanna bite --and watch!!!
