Hi Everyone!
I'm looking for some information on Wicksteed Lake south of Marten River Provincial Park. I'm planning a summer trip there, taking a couple of young lads who have never camped or fished before. They've both had a tough time with a bully father. He's no longer in the picture and I just want to show them a good time and enjoy the wildlife on a secluded lake.
Can anyone tell me what the camping situation is like on this lake? Also, is the fishing decent? I wouldn't want them to get skunked!
Any and all information is gratefully received! Thanks in advance!

Big long shallow lake with one 20ft+ hole near the bottom of the lake. Looks like the best access would be from the Marten Lake rd and then at the bend hang a left and go up to the dam where it looks like there's some open area for camping. Google Earth shows the boat launch there as well.
Here's the Fish ON-line info, if you zoom in you get the actual landscape view. https://www.lioapplications.lrc.gov.on. ... cale=en-CA

Here's the avionics link. https://webapp.navionics.com/?lang=en#b ... b%7CGvtseN

Good luck with the lads. Looks like there's a few rocky islands that might be good for an evening Walleye fish.
