Boat Launches Rideau River

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Boat Launches Rideau River

Post by michael601 »

The water at the Eccolands launch on the Rideau river was down 5' yesterday, and there was a big pile of rocks at the launch opening. Does anyone know if the launch at Rideau Locks 14-16 near Manotick, or the Jock River Landing are open?

Water levels are low along the Rideau River for now , until the flooding warning is over. Then they will open the dams/locks to raise to regular levels .

Boat launch in Manotik is open, the dock beside it in place. I used it couple days ago.
Just be aware that Rideau River is very shallow in this area, just follow the navigation signs.

I don't think any are closed. Nice to see the muni's have a brain in their head functioning this time around.
