Hard water 2020

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Hard water 2020

Post by CCLad »

Hi all (at least the folk's i know), my apologies for not getting on the board more but sadly, I didn't even put a rod in the water this season. That said, the ice season is just around the corner. Looks like a good chance it will be an early start this year! :D

I found this pic of Shirley's bay from last year in my phone.... This is from Dec 18 2018, the ice looks to be about a full month of development ahead from last year:

Did anybody else see the 2 guys ice fishing on the Jock River at Twin Elm bridge, back on Saturday, Nov. 16? I definitely did a double-take as I drove by! Couldn't believe my eyes! Lol

And by "at Twin Elm bridge", I don't mean that they were standing on the bridge jigging Lol. They were both on the ice....

I talked to someone else who saw them out there even earlier in the week, like Wednesday.

itching to go. I've watched way too many youtube videos of people on early ice with 3 inches. 5 inches + was what I was waiting for.
I bet those guys on constance got into some.

Cheers
