Costco has the best value marine batteries on the market.

Source: Purchased three in 2015. As of Oct 2018 they're still cranking it out.

I don't think there is such thing as a good value AGM battery as they're all pretty expensive.

I am wondering why not Canadian Tire? I have a buddy that swears by the Nautilus AGM. They just aren't cheap.
Other option I would look at is Interstate only because of my experience with their wet cells. Other than that, your best bet would be to head to a place like Total Battery and see what they have for you. Brand really doesn't matter as much as getting one with a high RC or AH rating. The higher the rating, the longer it will last on the water.
You could also head to or call a place like Pirate cove. They sell Mercury marine batteries. Not sure of they have AGM or not, but they are apparently extremely reliable.

my question is are AGM any better?
I get that they charge faster
I had costco wet cells on my trollin motor in my last boat for 6 years
and were still going when I traded the boat.

If you don't find what you want at Costco, try Magnacharge. They have shops in Kingston and Ottawa.

Great product and reasonable prices. They also service their batteries.

I've been using AGM's that I got from Peterborough Batteries for the last few years and have been really happy with them. If I recall correctly they were very reasonable in cost! http://www.peterboroughbattery.com/agm.php
