Inline Ice Fishing Reels

Post by MLR »

Thinking about buying an inline ice fishing reel.

Can anyone share real life experience with these, I am looking at the 13Fishing Black Betty 6061 , the Frabill Straight Line 261 or the Eagle Claw Inline Ice Reel

Feed back on these please and thanks

I like them but the only thing i hate is that they ice up very quickly if they are all aluminum. I own a few of the eagle claw ones , i would only use them in my flip over.

I purchased a Frabill Straight Line 101 Quick Tip Combo, got it on sale for $29.00, seems to be ok in the cold. I have it set up for panfish with 3 lb line, love that there is no line curl. Not sure how it would do with a heavier line.
