Newbie introduction

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Newbie introduction

Post by Bytownblue »

Hi
As a new member to the forum, I thought I might introduce myself
After a 10+ year hiatus from serious fishing I finally decided to return to the waters as I live on the river east of Ottawa.
I'm currently kitting up a Lund Pro v 1900 for the start of next season to fully loaded status and may be looking for some advice and tips from time to time from forum members on hot spots as I will gladly share all hot areas I find too
I'm primarily interested in walleye, large pike, musky lake trout, fly fishing and some bass
The site seems to be informative with like minded fishing adddicts.
Cheers

Welcome aboard. As a returning fisherman with an interest in walleye fishing, you may be interested in joining ORWL (Ottawa Region Walleye League) - check out our web site orwl.ca. We are just finishing our 2016 season and will soon be starting winter meetings in which guest are welcome to see if they may be interested in joining us. While we have a 10 event competitive season for annual trophies our number 1 Club Rule is to HAVE FUN! Hope to meet you soon.

The Ottawa River east of Ottawa is world class for musky and has a very healthy walleye population. You should have great days in your own backyard. If not, give me a call.
