Oh what a beautiful morning.....

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Oh what a beautiful morning.....

Post by zippyfx »

Had a chance to go out this morning and hit the banks of the tranquil and calm Mississppi. Very quite, and relaxing, Nice to get out before the heat hits.

I banked two nice fish.

A surprise 3lb Walleye caught on my UL rod:

A nice Silver Redhorse.

(I gotta do some homework but other than the missing red tail I could wear it is a greater Redhorse)

and lots of out of season bass.....

I forgot my odds and end kit this morning so I had no split shot and the current was swallowing all my expensive and hard to find sinkers so I went old school on my three way rig:

Nice fish and you may have a new sinker to market in the future.

Any morning on the banks sure is a beautiful morning. Always love your multispecies reports.

Way to make do with what you have!!

I was once shore trashing for crappies and lost my last float. A small twig tied onto my line saved the day.
