Live Minnows- West End

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Live Minnows- West End

Post by smitty55 »

Gidday folks. I've always had an alternate source for minnows in the winter from the local wholesaler who would sell out of his home to a few people who know him. It was always kept quiet as Serge did not want to interfere with Gord's business. Now that Bit and Baits is closed I've talked to Serge and he has decided it was OK for me to post his info here on Fish-Hawk. Actually he is going over to Shirleys today to put up a sign or at least put some notes on windshields in the parking lot.
His cell# 613-791-7435
No calls before 9:00 AM please. If you want minnows for early morning fishing phone ahead and pick them up the day/night before. He has oxygen so bagged minnows will keep well for at least a day if kept cool.
If he's on the road he will not answer his cell so leave a message.
It's always best to phone well ahead if you can. That way even if he's not home he can leave bagged minnows for you with his wife Lynn.

Cheers

Good stuff. Yea Serge is a good lad. Good to see him making the rounds out there. Right now he has Emeralds and Goldens, mostly mediums. On top of that he's not even 15 minutes from Shirleys.

Cheers

Serge has always been a top shelf dude. I was a regular customer when he used to run Britannia Bait and Tackle back in the 80's. When my first wife was pregnant with my son, we were even in the same Lamaze class together.....lol
If you want quality bait......he's da man!! :D
I'm a goin' fishin', mama's goin' fishin' and my baby's goin fishin' too.

Caught me while he was doing the rounds today at Shirley's. Fantastic news, thanks a ton of opening up to the public.

No he's been gone from there a long time. He's now just off Richmond rd. west of Greenbank.

As soon as I saw the name Serge, the first thing that came to mind was Britannia Bait and tackle ... bought a ton of minnows there as well as my jiffy auger (still use it) .... good on him :D

I also still have my 9" Jiffy that I bought from Serge way back as well as a pair of Daiwa SG47LC, one with copper. He would match or beat prices.
