Has anyone been up to the area to check the ice or fish some of the small back lakes

Wouldn't risk it yet with the mild weather and rain over the next few days. Not worth it to take a dip for a few fish, there is some ice by shore and the small lakes appear to be iced over but a very thin layer at best, I would consider it far from solid or trustworthy.

Two fellas went threw a pond last night not far from me on there sleds,my dog went threw the pond next to our property today.

Just be careful for those that do venture out, it's not a good year for ice.
