Smallies Take A licking - Paul Needs A New Seat

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Smallies Take A licking - Paul Needs A New Seat

Post by cprince »

The one hour drive from my house was punctuated with methane gas expulsions from the frowning driver making is seen that the lake was further away than last year. At by 7:30am we were launched into the main part of the lake and into our season.

Paul was a bright ray of sunshine (NOT) as usual after quickly picking up an uninvited pike:

I think he thought he was playing Guitar Hero here:

Even a couple of donkey bronzies on a White Spinner Bait didn't make him crack a smile.

Then it happened... I took one for the team. I knew what I had to do to get that flatulating grimace happy. I had to lick it.

Oh GAWD... This one??

Yup.

Unlocking the smiles on Paul was only a matter of understanding his proclivities.

Donkey and a smile.

Swampies and a smile...

Sick egg (And smells a little like them too), but he is a blast to fish with... once you get him smiling.

Nice job fellers.

I never understood people being upset with the occasional pike. I love the variety personally... and they hit like a ton of bricks.
