laker opener

it's been a long time since i have posted anything here. Things have been very busy and fishing has been to kept to a dull roar. With lakes opening I made sure i was going.
up at the crack of 4am and off i went.
I started jigging before the wind kicked up and had 2 short bites before 630
Decided to put a downrigger out and away to the races.. kept busy all day with a few 2-4 pounders. The best part.. was able to set the hook on a solid fish and pass the rod to my son who landed his first laker....after a few tense moments next to the boat
wind and freezing temperatures were no match for a great day !!
