The Castleford Charity Ice Fishing Derby is a annual ice fishing event held on the Ottawa River for familes and anglers to enjoy the sport of fishing and raise money for some great causes.

Due to the enormous support and donations by local businesses and the community the derby has grown to a very large annual event in the last ten years with over $45,000 raised for local charities.

With over a thousand people attending every year and thousands of dollars in cash and prizes to be won this event it has become a huge draw for families in the Ottawa Valley.

All money raised in 2015 will go to 3 local organizations. This years money will go to Renfrew and Arnprior Community Living, Renfrew Hospice and the Horton community center Rink fund.

All prizes will be handed out at 7pm at the Horton Recreation Center.
