Thanks! Yeah, it did,... Similar picture different angle:
Weird thing my boys and I caught a channel catfish with similar coloration on the Ottawa (with Yan) this summer:
From my research this is a common issue in Channels as they transition from juveniles.... Not sure what they mean on the the Sturgeon though.

The perfect post. Great fish all!
These are basically the only 2 times I got out this summer:
Algonquin Park in the fall, from a yak
White Lake with my son catching his first sunfish:

I got out very few times this year. A lot of new things and situations that needed my attention rather than fishing, but it was never far from my thoughts! Here are a few shots of fishing from this year:
This was from my first outing of the year:
I do like to get a little touchy-feely...
Here is from my 2nd outing:
EAP revealed!
Another outing where I caught a red smallie:
And this from my Gar training session. I hope to put this taining to use in the spring!
And probably the most successful outing of the year where I caught nothing but smiles!
Bring on the the ice!

I had a fair year, with a 21" splake, winning OKFS Quinte a kayak walleye tourney,
a few solid backwoods lakers, and just one new specie added for me, white bass.
I also did well in the Fish-Hawk virtual bass tourney, thanks again Peter, and I should
have thanked Ed in person for the Shimano rod as a prize at the get together. Anyhow
I've posted those fish pics. previously, but here's something new. I love using the skills
I've learnt trolling from my 17 1/2 foot Sylvan sport troller with a 4 cylinder 40 merc
for over 20 years to go after Adolphus gold. Just did my last soft water yak trip sunday Dec. 14th
and had some success with a couple of girls over 10 lbs.

My buddy's 42 pound laker from Great Slave. For comparison, Marcel's chest is 52"...........
My PB laker, same trip, 32 pounds, I don't think I have a picture of me holding it.........not the best picture, but that fish is about eight inches broad across the back:
One of the many mid-twenty pound lakers, same trip:
To get a better perspective on just how big these fish were, compare the size of the fish's head to mine, or look at my right hand on the tail. These were jus AWESOME fish!
