Yes it's my personal best by a long shot. She was extremely thick across the back and had a good gut. Not sure how much weight she can put on before the winter, maybe a few ounces.

Anyone who has a good idea of what they are doing stands a chance at a fish like this. I was in the right place at the right time, throwing the right bait and I didn't mess anything up. Not a whole lot more to it than that. The sun was shining on me that day and I'm thankful.

Congratulations bud!! That thing looked like a giant in the livewell.

If it's easy enough, maybe just edit the video so you take that 1 landmark out of it? Unless you don't mind 10x the traffic next year. :-)

Awesome freak of nature for a Canadian Largemouth. Congrats to a guy that fishes lots of different places trying to hit the jackpot. This time the reels on the slot machine came up big. Love it.

I appreciate your concern Eric. That said, I'm confident that nobody can tell what lake this fish came from by looking at the photos reading my directions or watching the video. That part has been taken care of. ;) Those that think they can will be wasting a whole lot of gas money.

Looks like you caught 3 fish Sean!

1 - Paul (AKA BassAddict) who took the bait that it was caught at the famous LakeX
2 and 3 - That damn Typhoon-class submarine of a bass!

Amazing catch, but I would be more impressed if you craned that SOB over the gunnel of your boat without a net, snapped your Lifetime Warrantied Shimano rod, then had it replaced OTC due to manufacturer's defect!

Thanks for sharing and taking the time to post it all!!

Craig

I'm pretty sure I saw a St-croix/Shimano E7 combo in the video ;)

People claimed to know where I caught this fish by the background and I have to be honest—it has been altered quite a bit. Here is the original, taken in the waters around La Ronde.
