1 + 1 = 2
Reminiscing on a lesson of humility, our convictions of pre-fishing St-Francis needed a positive outcome to re-building trust in our techniques.
As we made the long winding road to redemption, the dial was tuned in to the Renegade Bass Radio show.
Steve Barnett and Jack Levert who weighed in a hefty bag of 24.19lbs shared their insights and tips in regards to zoning in on those aerobatic heart wrenching footballs.
One of them tips, and I digress, the fishing term “Lead ins” which consist of a log, rock, current break, variation in depth, basically a channel that would entice smallmouth bass to navigate between water columns and prey on bait.
Granted, you need to put time on the water in order to find such “lead ins” but once located, they prove to be fruitfully productive.
My morning indulgences aren’t as extravagante as ones gear freak addiction, but both are guilty pleasures.
Running the boat parallel and fan casting the numerous drop offs Franny has to offer will entice the bites.
Given the hot weather, a shallow running crankbait in bluegill color with a smaller profile seemed to work well.
From walleye to pike,
Perch to mooneye,
All worthy of a “like”,
Mighty Bass Gods, hear my battle cry!
As the day progressed, and the wind died down, a popper over submerged weed beds surrounded by rock piles in 15 FOW brought them up from the deep to smash with dreaded force.
“One is the loneliest number that you’ll ever do,
Two can be as bad as one, It’s the loneliest number since the number one"
Tight lines to all

You should be careful with that morning indulgence as it can prove to be dangerous for your health.

Great report Mav!
The Franny is a large body to cover extensively. Glad to hear you found some productive areas.

Can't see it being any worse than a Poutinefest at noon... They do make great poutinefest down that way though.StarTzar wrote:You should be careful with that morning indulgence as it can prove to be dangerous for your health.

I wanted to blend in, I wasn’t sure what the Akwesasne persuasions were in regards to Quebexicans, but then again, ordering 2x poutines might have blown are cover.cprince wrote:Nice report boys! Good to see a father and son report out of you two!

They black out their entire boats with spray paint, including the motor…..they also stop for gas, tank, and ride off into the sunset…without paying lol
I played anthropologist while enjoying my poutine (the restaurante was on the Akwesasne reserve).
P.S. next time I might snap a quick selfie in a speedo standing on top of one of them blacked out boats.
