Cats, sheep, shallow toothies and even a horse

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Cats, sheep, shallow toothies and even a horse

Post by Yannick Loranger »

Murky shmurky. While the Ottawa River was looking like a Timmy's double double, we pounded weedlines with clear water. Average size was great. Lots of 20'' + walleye and 30'' + pike with the odd slab, sheephead, and channel cat.

The bottom bouncing bite has been slower than usual, but we're still getting on some good fish.

Kid friendly cats are starting to really heat up, with bigger fish coming in more regularly.

And then there's this guy. Never laughed so hard with clients.

'Tis the season. Tight lines folks!

Way to keep those clients happy Yan. Good for you. Some nice pickerel there for sure. What's with the gloves on that guy in the first pic?

Cheers

Great report, it's not easy to put clients on fish all the time but you seem to know the river very well. Their smile says it all :D

Nice job Yan. Some nice lookin' walleye for sure.

I like the dude who's trying to strangle the pike, like Homer J Simpson.

Why you little!!!!!!!! The gill plate hold slices fingers if the fish thrashes and the eyeball hold is just ugly. I find grabbing them just behind the gills keeps them subdued.
