Hey all just wondering if anyone is catching crappie yet...was out the past 3 days and nothing yet figure any day now

Really depends on the location - anywhere I usually go is absolutely not safe... way too high of water and current everywhere.

I think they are just hanging on ...

Crappy are biting at Lake George near Leffaivre. I was there yesterday and I caught 6 but I heard that some limits where caught today. All find out tomorrow as Im going tomorrow.

Magic number to me is 57-60 degrees. We are a week of warmer than this crap weather to get anywhere near that....

Saw a huge school of fish dart away while checking my Crappie spot... got all excited.
... but they were perch. Caught about a dozen in 20 minutes. Nice but not what I came for.
The perch usually precede the crappie so they are not far away now.
