What knot to use to tie braid to mono?

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

I'd suggest a dab of crazy glue to really cinch that up!

You can try Netknots.com as well. The more important knots are shown in animation. It's how I learned to tie my knots when fishing in Charlotte Harbor in Florida.

Uni to Uni for me. Just always makes sure your line diameter is roughly the same.

Uni to uni for me.

Use lots of saliva to lubricate knots and the line right before you tighten the knots and draw the knots together.

Good luck with your selections.

Uni to Uni for me as well though I'm usually tying off fluorocarbon, I only use mono as backing on my reels.

Big thing to keep in mind with the double uni is to put more wraps on the smaller line.

I used to use the uni to uni but I have had the knots break on me on more than one occasion. I started using the Foran knot two years ago and have never had a problem. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hhC4qt5JpWA

Same here. Learnt how to tie it from that exact video. never had any breaks. I also use this to tie fluoro leaders to my braid and the small knot makes it easy to cast and not snag on the rod rings.

I use the Alberto knot, which I believe is a modified albright.
With braid-to-mono (or fluoro), you make a loop in the mono/fluoro and wrap the braid. 5 times 'up', 5 times 'down'. Look it up on Google and you'll know what I mean.
The best part is, this knot is REALLY strong, does not pinch the mono/fluoro creating any weak spots, and it a VERY small knot so it flies through guides really well.
