Hawg Wobbler Experiment

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

That looks to be the same fish you missed with me, same spot but that's not your boat and I think I know who's it is.

That fish is 51.5 inches. :D

This is a very interesting thread.....a variety of guesses...from 39 inches to 51 1/2.....just shows you how people look at pictures and think they have an idea on fish size....

HW....spill the beans!...

This is exactly what I was hoping to get out of this thread. Thank you all for participating, I really appreciate it.

The fish was 44" long. Crazyhook is disqualified because he already knew (and because he's a ROMO). :) So the next closest guess was CCB. Well done! CCB, just for the record, both pictures are the same fish. I wish I'd caught two of them. :) Hopefully we can hook up soon and try to catch one of these hogs.

I caught that fish on a top water bait as well, which makes it all the more satisfying.

FYI Trophymuskie, it was caught close to where I lost the monster with you, but on the other side, closer to where we were fishing first thing in the morning where I got the 34" and where you got your 33 9/10" fish that came up just short in beating mine. :)

Thanks again for participating!

Had great luck on the water the last two days. Pics are being developed as we speak. Caught my sister, and my girlfriend their first muskies! I'll post the pics soon!

Can't believe I was out by that much!

I guess I should have averaged my analyses: 44 3/8 plus 43 3/4 divided by 2= 44 1/8th.

Did you by any chance round DOWN from 44 1/8th?

Just funnin...

Is it true the prize is a new truck? And second place is a ride in the truck?

You've got to beleive my guess at 43 1/2 was pretty close, close enough to qualify for a runner up prize?
