This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Long Island Lock Ice Report

Post by darkelf »

Hey guys, just got back from LIL. 4 hrs on ice = 28 perch, no real keepers. 10-12 inches of ice, hard crust of snow on top with a little water in between in places, so its a little slushy. Great day to be out and the new fish finder works awesome!!! tight lines!

I have heard that this is the issue at Rideau Ferry as well. A friend's truck "broke" through the crust and had a hard time getting off the ice. Said it would be difficult on ATV as well.
I may try this weekend with my ski-doo. Maybe. I always wait till I see others out first before I will venture out. A tad nervous on ice.
