Fishin with Reno Viola......

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Fishin with Reno Viola......

Post by mikemicropterus »

I hope most of you guys know the name Reno Viola of the TV fishing show, Fish'n'Canada he did with his brother Angelo.....

Well I got the chance to fish with him on the St. Lawrence, Lake St, Francis to be specific in October and we did quite well on both largemouth and smallies......

I have blog on WFN and here is a link to the article I did about the day I got to fish with a Canadian Fishing Hall of Fame Inductee....

If I was better at posting I'd post the whole article here.....

let's see what happens....

We had a great time and I'm waiting to go back again.....the chance to talk to a guy who has been in the business for many years was invaluable......got to catch some big fish between discussing the industry idiosyncrasies....we talked about his radio network, my podcast and where the network is headed.......if you haven't listened to Reno Viola Outdoors.....follow the link on the front page and give it a listen......I discuss about all kinds of stuff from mechanical issues to fishing.....to rod building to tournament tactics and some gear stuff too....

Thanks for sharing the link Mike,

A day out with a Legend like that would be invaluable to me. A day on St. Francis with him would be even better!

Those Bass were definitly pigs!

Would be quite a treat to fish with one of Canada's fishing elite. Always enjoyed Reno on the show and good to hear he's still just as passionate about fishing as ever.
