Another wild day on the water

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Another wild day on the water

Post by Chevy Champagne »

Well I had another unreal day today
Started the day with smallies and broke my pb.
Yes there is loads of EAP but this fish was big. 4.6 pounds on the new scale

Image

Then I had quite the surprise as this big old gator grabbed a smallie I had hooked boatside...was pretty wild to experience for sure

After banging off another 25 smallies we decided it was time to hit a different lake for largies

Got a bunch of little guys but my buddy Jesse took the cake with this toad

Was quite the day!
Hope you enjoyed the pics!
Untill next time!

You are really getting on them Chevy - nice to see you figuring out those big ones. The Ottawa has been a riddle wrapped in an enigma the last little while for big bass it has seemed.

It was unreal! What shocked me most is that the fish held on all the way to the net and we were actually able to scoop both the smallie and pike up in one shot!
Never know what your going to experience each day you hook up the boat!

I've heard of plenty of massive pike being caught this way. A decent pike being hooked, then a giant t-bones it, and both end up in the net.
