Weeknight tourneys

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Hi Shawn,

I could possibly get out and show you a few spots tonight if you want (mother nature co-operating).

However, tomorrow night I have a class I cannot miss....even for fishing.

All good thanks, sorry tonight is all about house cleaning and getting the boat and rods ready for tomorrow. :|

If everything goes smoothly they'll surely be another.

Great idea ShawnD! I use to fish a similar format on Collins lake back in the days of the Kingston Bass Club. Can't recall if it was a 3 or 5 fish limit but it was always a blast. If you ever head south to the Rideau River or the Larry count me in! Good luck and have fun!
I got 99 problems but a fish ain't one...

Would be kinda fun to see where my limited 3-4 years of fishing bass stacks up against any local lifetime Joes & Pros.

If it gets up and running and I have the time, I'd do it once at least.

Well last night was fun, sunny skies and late growing grass did not help me at all but for those that did catch fish here's how that worked out:
1st : Stephane Martin and Simon Talbot, 5 fish 11.61lbs
2nd: Nigel Touhey and Julio Dasilva, 3 fish 9.47lbs with a big girl: 5.2lbs
3rd: Patrick Houle, 3 fish 7.42lbs and a 3 kicker.

4th: Shawn Dompierre with a bunch of pikes and a whole lot of sight seeing. :|

Not 100% sure if Julio is on fishhawk but if Nigel could put up a picture of that big girl that would be great!
I didn't manage to take any pictures, Iphone is broken.

That's it for this weeks edition of WeekNight Tournaments, I had a very frustrating/fun time out on the water and the weather was spot on!
Unless something serious comes up you can find me on water waiting for you next Thursday!

Sweet. The Ottawa always throws up a few piggies. Last time I was on the lower Ottawa the water was high and cold. Its been dropping daily and the fishing should be getting really good soon. Hopefully someone got a picture of the donkey!

We did this a long time ago and it was a blast. $20.00 a team and it was out of the Alymer marina, use to be ten to twenty boats. If I remember correctly it was called twilight something. Back in the day of fishing buddies

Well its happening again!
Same place, same time and this time around I should have more boats.

WeekNight Tournaments
This Thursday July 18th
we'll have a 6 oclock blast off and return will be 9.
The time was changed because by the time we weighed everyone and started getting the boats loaded up it was getting dark real fast!
I'm not afraid of the dark but often load and unload the boat by myself..
:D
Hopefully some of you guys will have time to join us.
If you have room in your boat post it we have non boaters looking for a seat!!
Thanks.

Yes,
I will be on the water as long as the thunder and the harsh wind stay away.
