New pike lake New records

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

No kayak, but I do have a pontoon boat . . .

Oh I also have a 16 footer on a trailer. Heck, I'll fish from anything that floats, LOL.

It's an EFP (Extended Fin Pose).
The pike is actually holding Kevin further back, making him look smaller. :o

Question though Kev, with the amount of huge pike you've previously posted pictures of, what is it about this one that is a new record for you?
Length?
Weight?
Girth?
All of the above?

Sweet colours and pattern on it.
Go catch the bigger one you saw!

16 pounder is a mid-to-high average for a 40 inch fish. 20 pounders are generally 42 to 43 inches. 22-24 pounds are 43-45, and 25 pounders are very hefty 45's, and up to 47 inchers. Not by fish calculator here man, but by having measured and weighed probably 100 and more fish high 30's to high 40's. Takes nothing to get a length on a fish Kev... Next one bigger you can, and I'll tell ya what it weighed. As for this fish... it's a record alright. Yours and no one elses. Enjoy. :D
