Afternoon shore fishing on the Rideau

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Afternoon shore fishing on the Rideau

Post by rod84 »

A bust!

I decided to fish after work, I actually left 2 rods and a tackle box at the office :D .

The last few weeks we could see fish from shore along the Rideau canal and the river as well, from Carleton to the Bronson bridge, but nothing at all today.

I wonder if they shut down just before this storm, 3 hours fishing and not a nibble.

I was planning on texting you a picture of a nice pike or walleye, ha ha ha.

I was not even planning on fishing, but I left gear here now so I just went out after work, I will let you know next time.

Today at 5:45pm driving down Riverside eastward at the RA Centre, and I saw two die hard fisherman crossing over toward the bridge in the rain.
Has to have potential I would say. Just like Mooney's Bay, never know what will take your line!
