Well taxes are taxes cant do much about that but I think BPS finally got their act together and put a nominal ($3.50) brokerage fee on Canadian orders.

If they didn't have a canadian store I would agree. But since they do i find the taxes etc hard to swallow.

The only extra fee you pay is $3.50 and the taxes are your standard HST. Plus almost everything is cheaper on their website so definately alot of savings to be had! BPS Pro qualifier on sale for $79.99 sweet reel for that price!!

I create gear wish list and order every time they have free shipping. I find they usually have free shipping just after an another sales event.

I find the $3.50 to be noise especially considering I usually order things I can not find in Ottawa (I go to CT, LeBaron and Sail each about once a month); For example, it is difficult to find specific terminal tackle and things like catfish supplies locally. the prices are very good to boot.

I had a gift card and thought this was a good time to use it.

I purchased $95.05 in product. The shipping fee of $12.50 was waived under the promotion (this is the total I was told I saved when I called). The total for tax, duty & brokerage fees was $22.85 . I paid a total of $117.90. If just purchased in Canada and assuming the purchase prices are exactly the same and USD is on pair with CDN I would have paid $107.41 (having been just charged 13% HST).
