This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Ice Fishing Spots

Post by Doublecluck »

Hello everyone, where can a guy with his son go and kick back and catch a few perch to kill a few hours in the morning or afternoon? I live in Osgoode and am new to ice fishing but don't know too many spots...any tips would be greatly appreciated. :)

pretty much anything teenie tiny (jig head, spoon, jiggin rap) tipped with gulp waxies should do the trick.

Doublecluck, you also have a nice access point just south of Osgoode Main on River road; there is a real shanty town on the ice - you can't miss it. That area would be better for walleye than perch though.

You might want to check out the Osgoode Fish Game and Conservation Club; membership gets you free access to a ice hut with wood stove 8). Send me a PM if you are interested or want info on the club.
