The Crappie Queen...

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

At least the Sens shack is bringing you more luck than the Sens have! :)

Congrats on the nice outing with Birdee, RJ.

What time do you guys usually pack it in if you only get there at 5pm? I always thought it was too late to go fishing when I got home after 4pm. Yeah the days are getting longer but how good is the bite after dark?

Nothing better on the plate than cold water craps.

Are those Diamond Jigs hanging from Birdee's ears?

SF,

We pulled the plug last night at 9...Birdee had some tv show she wanted to watch...

The Crappie bite is actually more at night than any other time....so staying later likely means more fish....

AF, Hush up. I caught my share.

I'm still skeptical about driving out there. I was on Newboro last weekend and fished on 7 inches of ice with a foot of snow on top + slush in between.

I feel guilty for not stopping in to say hi. I took a co-worker out last night after work to show him the ways of the crappie and we left the ice just after 8 PM. I saw the light on in your shack but never stopped, had to get home to the sick kids and sick wife. :(

Nice fish there Birdee! We kept 11 between the two of us last night and threw 2 little guys back. We lost 4 more right at the hole. We got a double header at the end of our stay. (12.5" slabs!)

Sorry I didn't stop in to meet you last night. Promise to catch up with you guys on Saturday for the Vexilar demos.

Here's a few that we kept for supper tonight.
