Hey all,
I've finally broken down and bought a new Eskimo pop-up (I would've gotten a flip over but the're too heavy and I don't have a sled).
What's the best type of heater to keep warm? I want to keep the weight down, as I want the flexibility to walk out and not always drive.
I was looking at the Coleman BlackCat?
Any suggestions?

i have a sunflower heater has 3 settings on it low,med,high (8000,10,000,12,000 btu's) connects right up to my 5 lb propane bottle and can get 20 hours plus of heat,,,,,, most of the time i have it on low setting but when the weather gets cold can run it on medium heat or high
i would never settle for any other kind of heater myself i have had experiences with mr buddy's and other brands and nope i would never go any other way but the sunflower heater.

The black cat is a good one. My uncle had one and it treated him well. It is portable. I use a big Buddy Mr Heater. but its not portable

Mr.Heater for around $100 is a good choice

exactly what I was going to say

I run a Little Buddy in my portables and a Big Buddy in my permanent shack. Though they can be tempermental I like their compactness and they throw good heat.

I must admit the sunflower type heaters are pretty good at throwing heat but they're not very quiet.

Big Buddy.. lots of heat, ease of use, .. $129 at Gander Mountain in Watertown

Has anyone tried the Martin F12? How does Martin compare?

Any of those heaters recommend a filter ? If so, I would tend to stay from those ones . Too touchy imo . cheers

i agree with rj mr heater is the best choice tempermental like he says but light and portable i use them in my huts as well
