FIshing at Petrie Saturday the 15th

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

FIshing at Petrie Saturday the 15th

Post by Tussman »

Hey guys.
I am willing to go to Petrie Island next Saturday. (the 15th)
However it will be my first ice fishing session ever.
I just have a single ice rod/reel combo from Sail and a scoop.
(few jigs /lures and oiled dead minnows)

I just wanted to know if one of you will be there to show me the basics and also share a hole.

Of course, there will be a stop at the nearest pub to thank you.

:-)

lol I can't even buy an auger so the Vex will wait few month I guess.
Crappy bay, where is that.
I am kind of shy so I would definitely prefer a small group 2/3 people rather than a seminar for the first time.

Do not be shy .... no one will bite.

Crappie Bay is just around the big left swing corner at Petrie on the left .... beside a parking lot... just look for the crowd and walk out. You could try the bay on your right as you hit the hard left corner but I can not promise any assistance there for you.

Go on out and have fun... you won't regret it.

Tussman,
Regardless of funds available this is a great seminar and it will give you an opportunity to learn something new - for free ! Plus you'll be able to meet other folks from FH. all best and GL

I might show up if I am not working. I don't necessarily need the seminar but it would be nice to get out on the ice for the day and meet a few of you.

Tussman,

This will be completely laid back format with no seminar....it's just an opportunity for folks to use some equipment they haven't yet tried out. Come on out, this is a great group of guys to hang with.....
