Reel repairs shop???

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

You might want to think about calling the manufacturer and find out if they offer the service.. I package my reels up every couple of years and send them back for service.. the postage is more expensive than the service cost:).. good luck!

Gettin' ready for BAA?

I've heard a lot of great things about "Service Shiman-Au-Peche" but they're in/near Montreal. It doesn't cost much to ship a few reels in a box to them though.

According to their webisite, Ozile's is doing repairs. I have no idea if they are any good or not.

What Olivier forgot to mention here is that Paul from Depot du Voyageur, whom has been fixing reels longer than most of us have been fishing, and now does the repairs at our place tried to fix his reel. Unfortunately the handling seen by the reel has resulting in a repair job requiring Harry Potter and his wand as the cost to repair it right is more than the reel is worth....(bent shaft, stripped gear)

That is right, thanks for the clarification Yves.
And for those who asked, yes Oziles`offer a reel and rod repair service, and have been excellent over the years servicing reels that have been through a lot of use!!

Carpins bait and tackle in Ingleside sends them away. I have had my quantum musky reels maintained there. I was happy with the service
