first time out this year report

headed out today for the first time on 9 inches of ice on buchums and whent perching
many fish were caught between mickey and i between 4 to 8 inches
i also got a little pike on the tipup

best couple of the day

all fish were relesed
wont be back on the ice till the new year
be safe out there 8)

pike was maby 20 inches so no pix
and that sucks you swouldnt see me out on that :?

good black ice, but be carefull.......there was a couple of permenant shack out there already.......these guys know the ice down there thou(the locals).

Way to wet your appetite men! Glad you both made it off the ice safely too! Early ice kinda keeps me on the sidelines... colour me wimpy... but I will wait a tad bit longer!!

Great first outing Chevy! Those are some nice perch for some monster pike! I would have kept a couple for sure if I wasn't going to eat them. How did you like the new rods? Did you feel a big difference?
