An Extreme Hardcore Whitefish Outing Today

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

An Extreme Hardcore Whitefish Outing Today

Post by Bass Addict »

For the past couple of years we often talked about trying a lil Softwater outing for Whites . But neither one of us was willing to give up any of our Spring Trout time , Summer Bass time or Fall Bass etc etc...............Today it happened 8)

However .....

Several Obstacles got in the way.

The tarp that covered my boat sprung a leak and most of the rain from the last week or so was now under the tarp . The result.... Frozen Muskie net :x

Image

Next Obstacle ........Trying to make it up to Kevin's new house ( up ) as in UPHILL..

Image

A 4x4 jeep failed and skidded down coming to rest on top of a large Boulder

Image

Sadly the Sunfire also failed

Image

I also skidded down the hill...Some minor contact between the prop and the ditch , and away I went

Image

Around the back way ..............Again , Reaching Kevin's house.........not going to happen

Image

Image

While waiting for him to walk down to the car , Might as well snap a pic of a bird

Image

Met up with Cprince a short time later and switched the Princecraft over to the Impala...Destination 31 Mile Lake

Image

Th reason for this pic of the trailer under water like this without the boat ....I had to unhook it from the impala so Craig could get out ...the ramp was ice covered

I knew I should have kept the Boat on the Sunfire .

Next step ....

Paddle our way up the Launch

Storming to the Hotspot ...Look Ma , No Gloves

Image

Minutes later...

Image

Minutes later ...

Craigs feet were cold :x

Image

Image

Calm before the Storm

The Storm

Image

We reel in and head off , but the boat seems real sluggish

ANCHOR in tow

Image

Bye Bye Softwater 2010

Image

Oh...

One last Obstacle......The gate got in the way while backinng the boat in the back yard for the winter

 8)

Tied it to the Impala with about 25 feet of rope and it went tight just as the Impala got a good head of steam going.

Worked like a charm!!

Getting the boat out of the water was easy peasy with the sand all over the lane-way.

Gotta tell you... Bassaddict has gotten himself into so many... umm... shall we say; "Situations" that he is quite good getting out of them!

These are what lasting fun memories are made of though... no doubt!

With the sand in the tracks all the way up the hill.. the Impala pulled it out and up the hill easy as pie!

Obstacles outnumbered fish pics 10:1.... but I bet it was still worth it. :)
