The Quinte Pilgrimage....

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

The Quinte Pilgrimage....

Post by RJ »

Phil and I made the road trip down to Quinte yesterday......things are way late this year with the water temps still warm and Drum still being trolled up.....man I hate those things....

We worked an active pod of fish high in the column....lots of nice sized eaters yesterday which is great to see.....we ended the day 13 for 15.

Sadly we didn't get one of those Giant Quinte eyes but settled for a good one each.

I've done a bit more detailed report on our site.....

Hopefully a few details give you a hand for your next trip to put a few more over the gunnels!

P.S. Birdee is still on cloud nine after her first Buck on Friday....

Thanks for the post.
It sounds like you had a good time.
Also, this gives me an idea of what to expect as I am heading down on Wednesday for 2+ days.
I will continue where you left off, I mean with the lead.
Cheers,

That's not a bad day at all RJ....good to see that you and Phil got into some!.....It may be a bit early but I'm just itchin' to get out in the boat and get away from the office for a few days....Also looking forward to trying out the Mann's 20+ and 25+ textured baits I picked up at BPS in Baltimore a few weeks ago..looks like they did the job for you guys!

MEMO to Bass Addict.......only a fool would take "illegal refreshments" out on their boat on the BOQ....The OPP and MNR are out daily..but I guess you wouldn't know that seeing how you've never made it down there during open water :P 8) :D

The pops will taste awesome when we get back to the rooms and open up the cooler and wait for dinner to cook in the oven :P 8) :P

As usual RJ, I love to see your blog entries. It is good to see some smaller eyes getting caught in Quinte...even if they aren't exactly what you're targetting...
