Last Call For The Mississippi Derby Aug 28th!!

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Last Call For The Mississippi Derby Aug 28th!!

Post by cprince »

I hope that this gets some guys AND gals thinking about going to the get together derby planned for the 28th of August at Mississippi Lake!

It is going to be a lot of fun! A couple of GREAT prize packs generously offered by some site sponsors will be drawn in addition to pay outs for the top three fish (Bass OR Walleye).

Confirmed attending:

Post here if you can offer a ride or a seat in your boat.

Après Fish will be at Busters Bar and Grill on Highway 7 starting at about 5pm.

I believe Highlander might be joining me but I won't know for sure for a couple days.

That being said, if people are stuck we could fish 3 in my boat.

Could have gone with Daner, but got to go to Toronto and Niagara Falls, without the kids. It is for the wife's work place Program of having Foreigners visit the Ontario Auditor General's Office, then visiting as a tourist attraction the Niagara Falls area.

Only fished the Mississipi once many years ago. Each pike that we caught had blood beeds on their skin, and also had some scars (some open). Couldn't figure out what was causing that.

Have fun guys.

I posted my problem on another related topic but will do so again.
I have a 19 foot boat but my daughter is home from BC and is taking my truck to visit grandparents for the weekend so no tow vehicle. If any boatless members have a truck with a 2 inch ball and are willing to tow my barge I am in with room for 2 or 3 guests.

I'm in.

I'll have room for one or two non-boaters.

Sure.....if he knows where to fish..... (J/K)

Also, since it's looking like there are lots of seats available in boats, if there are more FH'ers in the Valley who would like to go but need a lift, I have room in the truck for 3 passengers. I plan on staying for some eats and possibly a few bevvies at the Apres Fish so you wouldn't be getting home until the evening if you were planning on a ride back.

My best response to your idea of knowing where to fish is limited to "In THE WATER". If you have room and don't mind an old guy tagging along I would appreciate the ride.
