loss of habitat?

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

loss of habitat?

Post by 1lastcast »

Anyone ever seen a storm so strong it distorys a weed bed? I was out fishing dog lake yesterday and a few of my spots have very little weeds left  I noticed many of the coontails floating on the surface roots and all??? this is a 8-10 ft weed bed???

We did have a massive storm roll thourgh the area with many trees down.
So im thinking that the high winds also up rooted the weeds? What do you guys think???

shallow end of Dog

fish Dog alot.. if we get a good wind you can often see significant weed patches floting.. almost like a tide line on the ocean.. more noticeable in the south end along those shallow flats. then they all flaot into the bay by the bait shop:)
bite was off last weekend.. better Sun than Saturday though
