Report-less Report or Sympathy For The Lure

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Report-less Report or Sympathy For The Lure

Post by cprince »

Went out for a couple of hours with the man who makes Simon Cowell look like a WalMart greeter... BA.

Caught a fair number of bronzies, and a couple of buckets. BA had the better luck. His lure selection was right on. He kept going from wave worm to spinner to top water. I, stubbornly stayed on my hybrid and jig and threw the top water only intermittently. I fish this lake beginning and late season. Not usually mid season, so I had a hard time getting it through my thick skull that I needed to adjust.

Need proof that the top water works?

Gotta be careful with my Blackberry... at one point I thought the small mouth was trying to use it to call for help!! It was like American beer... darn close to water!!

We stayed on the water until about 9:45... and it was excellent!

Good Stuff.
All fishermen are liars except for you and me, and to tell you the truth, I'm not sure about you.

That top water lure doesn't work  . I'm not a big fan of topwater fishing but I have found it produces well when the bite gets tough. That lure is my go to bait when the topwater bite is on. Glad you guys enjoyed your day and nice fish..
