The no work and all play report!
The no work and all play report!
My buddy Jay (J.Bade) and I headed out to one of our favourite lakes on our day off from work.
For this report I'd like to keep the name of the lake a secret but I can say this lake has clay by the ton.
Our mission was to land some bass, pike and maybe a walleye or two if we're lucky.
The forecast was calling for low winds, clouds and some rain... Perfect!
We pull up to the launch, I put the transmission in 4 low and launch the boat... lol
I throw my first cast a few hundred meters from the launch and... El slammo!
With my rod bent over Jay looks at me and says, "You're kidding." ...This is no joke.
I get a sense this is going to be a good day as a few casts later, I land the second.
There would be no skunks on this trip as Jay gets his first, second, and third.
Followed by two more for myself.
We both knew the pike would eventually show up and the first one did with this little guy.
Several more fish would be landed before lunch with a few unhooking themselves at the boat.
We finally stopped for lunch and started up a small fire to dry off a bit.
We put the fire out and head back on the water for the rest of the day catching several more bass and pike in various locations.
In total we landed about 30 fish (unfortunately no walleye )
All our fish were caught on NorthAMfishing spinnerbaits in less than 10 FOW, with all my fish being caught on a 5/8oz fleeing sunfish pattern and Jay's on a 1/2oz white w/ bleeding tips pattern.
The largest bass caught was just over 3.5 Lbs.
The largest pike would thrash it's way off the scale and into the water.
Worst part of the day was having to leave, but what a great day it was.
Thanks for checkin' out my report.

I get the telegraph pole installed on Tuesday!!! Right now I am paying about $26 000 a month on the Bell "Turbo" internet stick (it up my...) . Seriously... it is working out to about $150 a month!...Never thought about how long it would take those pictures to load for those people who still get internet through morse code. Razz
Craig
Craig, NorthAms certainly do me well. They are the only spinnerbait I use, and I like using them a lot.cprince wrote:Northam baits do you well?
Totaly enjoyed this report. I think that is the most pics in a report I have seen!
QC or photoshoped out the plates?
Craig
I realize I may have gone overboard with the pictures.
Never thought about how long it would take those pictures to load for those people who still get internet through morse code.
And finally the car is QC plated.
You can tell the car is from QC because I changed the headlights to make it go faster!
It's kind of like installing racing stripes or a 4' high spoiler on the trunk like this guy...
