I haven’t been able to fish for the last 4 days. KingMan just calls me and asks about fishing. In just, I mention my wife will be in at 2:00 AM. He says ok, lets hit the Ottawa at 3:00. Now what’s my answer? Be here for 2:30 and we will load up the boat.

What an interesting encounter, at 6am the storm hit and lightning flashed across the sky, My rod started buzzing. Actually more of a wining from the electricity in the air and lasted about 20 seconds, I have never heard or seen this before, all I knew was it was time to get off the water. We picked up half a dozen cats, 2 walleye, 1 pike and a small mouth. I will have to do that again.


Now that I’m back out of bed, and the sky is clear I may just hit the Rideau.

The fishing is picking up and it’s about time. I went back out this afternoon, the bass and pike sure were on. I was targeting musky but switched to bass when they kept hitting my inline spinners.

Right now Xenos is out fishing. Lucky dog. He told me yesterday that he joined a derby team. Is there room left on the same team? I'm hoping there is because I don't know if I should keep convincing Xenos to get out at these crazy times to maximize his fishing exposure.

Xenos, I am looking to go again Sat. REALLY early. You up for it?

Nice fish. I think I saw you under the 416 bridge Thursday around 5pm (your boat a Princecraft with merc engine).

I boated by around that time, waved, then made a quick turn around one of the bridge peers...was having some engine problems...just giving my boat (96 Princecraft162/35 Johnson) one last run before going home.

Next time will have to stop and make an introduction!
