just for fun..HO own a kayak or a canoe in here...?

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Don't own a kayak, but fished in one twice.

So much fun!

An aluminum canoe w/ a 2hp Yamaha was my only fishing boat until 5 years ago when I bought a Princecraft 162... I sure had some memorable fishing from that canoe... even a couple species PBs that haven't been beaten yet...

I still have the aluminum canoe and the Yammie.... and the cart that I made for it. I occasionally use the ole canoe for fishing on smaller local back lakes without launches. & the more distant lakes eg Quetico, Algonquin. But mostly I use the canoe for Duck hunting now...

I wouldn't mind trying Kayak fishing when the kids get older, but right now family fishing is best done from the Princecraft.

I do miss some the underfished hideaways that I used to get to with the canoe...

I can appreciate the peace and soiltude one gets from a canoe or a yak.

I'm not a big fan of canoes. I've never been in a yak. Once they make a 17 1/2ft. yak with a 90in. beam and a 100hp rating I may give one a try.

Fishing from a Kayak, nothing like it.

#1 close to the fish

#2 can sneak up on them.Quiet.

# can easily release the fish.

#3 can get in shallow or in the weeds ,where the big boats can't
